Eligibility

 

 

Educational Route to Become an Anesthesiologist in India

  • 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree (5.5 years including internship)
  • MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Anesthesiology: A 3-year postgraduate program focused on anesthesia.
  • DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Anesthesiology: An alternative 3-year postgraduate program offered by the National Board of Examinations.
  • Register with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective State Medical Council to practice as an anesthesiologist.
