Parents are the very first mentors of children before they are mature enough to make career-based decisions. Also, students of younger age can't make certain decisions; hence, parents have a significant role there. In the Indian academic scenario, parents feel they have a massive role in determining their children's lives. This is undoubtedly important; however, this goes to the extent that sometimes they impose their decisions onto their children. Parents will remain inevitable until the scenario changes and children become smart enough to determine and make career decisions naturally. Children should come for the guidance session along with both or at least one of the parents to be a broader horizon of their interests & abilities and the recommended subjects & career choices.
Yes. Absolutely. You could make an appointment only for a counselling session with our career expert, but please ensure the test results are within six months of its administration. If the tests have been taken six months earlier or more, we recommend the child does the testing again. You could contact our counsellors or mail us the previous report.
Parents are not really required during the testing. Parents are required to be there for the counseling sessions specially with the younger children of grade 9-10. However, if the student is of 18 years of age and above, they could chose to take a session with or without their parents as well.
We believe that parents play an integral role in their child's career decision-making and future, especially at this young age. Thus, we encourage parents to be involved in the process, and take inputs from them during the counseling sessions to gain a better understanding of the child.
