The only mention of the term ‘Cabin Crew’ takes our imagination towards well-groomed and pleasing personality of the professionals. Professionals who welcome the passengers in an aircraft are usually referred to as Cabin Crew. They greet every passenger and help in seating arrangements and managing the hand baggage of the passengers. Once all the passengers aboard the flight and before the aircraft takes off, the crew members ensure the safety-belt arrangements are provided and demonstrate the use of emergency equipment. However, the responsibilities and duties of the Cabin Crew start much before the arrival of the passengers by checking the blankets, pillows, magazines, newspapers, etc., that need to be in good order and allotted places. Cabin Crew members manage the in-flight experience of passengers, verify passenger’s list and take special care of the passengers with special needs. Also they keep a check on weather conditions and safety measures. They warmly welcome the passengers in the flight and assist them to board the flight. Cabin Crew on duty throughout the flight looks after the passengers in general and takes special care of air-sick travelers, sick children and babies; and also the elderly people or very young who are travelling alone. They offer personalized services to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of airline passengers, verify tickets, and provide first-aid in case of any emergency or requirement. These professionals are also liable to serve meals to passengers and crew and after the meal they clear the seats and check again that all passengers have been served all the items. They work continuously and efficiently during the flight in the confined space of the cabin. They also inform passengers about transportation, supervise the availability of equipment or supplies, and resolve issues affecting transportation operations, control communications systems, and so on.
