Market Research Analysts keep themselves updated with the latest developments at the competitors ends in terms of pricing, sales, and ways adopted by them for marketing and distribution.

The one who makes all the above activities possible is a marketing research professional. These professionals use cautiously designed surveys, opinion polls, and questionnaires to find out the potential market for sale and promotion of particular products or services. The clientele for these professionals expand right from retail stores, to NGOs, to media channels and television networks. The Market Research Analysts are responsible for gathering data customer demographics, consumer habits and preferences, competitors strategies and analyze the reasons that are responsible for the demand of a particular product or service. They also supervise and find out the probability of sales trends, and understand the efficiency of marketing programs. These professionals make use of photo imaging and statistical software to sort out the complex data to make it more understandable through tables, graphs, and written reports. The role of a Market Research Analyst also involves conducting comprehensive research to gather data and insights about markets, consumers, competitors, and industry trends. This information is crucial for organizations to make informed decisions, develop effective strategies, and stay competitive in their respective industries.

 BA in Economics/Statistics/ Maths
 Master in Business Administration with marketing specialisation/ Masters in Marketing Research/ PG Diploma Course in Marketing
 
Route 210+2 in Commerce with Maths
 B. Com/ BBA/ BMS/ BBS or related course
 Masters in Business Administration with marketing specialisation/ Masters in Marketing Research/PG  Diploma Course in Marketing
 
Route 310+2 with in Science stream with PCM
  BS or B.Tech   in Maths/ Statistics/ Maths and computing/ Data Science / Computer Science
 MBA Marketing/ Market Research/ Master in Maths/Statistics/ Data Science
 

 

Significant Statistics

 

  • Minimum 50% in 10+2 for admission to most of the colleges
  • Knowledge relating to Economics and Statistics is required even if a candidate is graduated in any stream like Customer and Personal Service, Sales and Marketing, English Language, Mathematics, Administration and Management, Communications and Media
