Microbiology
The study of microorganisms like unicellular, multi-cellular, or cellular and the subjects having numerous sub categories including bacteriology, mycology, immunology, virology, parasitological and so on is called Microbiology. These professionals study bacteria, and some of the most important discoveries that underpinned modern society have been the result of work done by renowned microbiologists. Microbiology is the study of all living organisms which are too small for the naked eye to be visible. This includes bacteria, archaea, viruses, fungi, prions, protozoa and algae, classified as microbes collectively. These microbes play key roles in nutrient cycling, biodegradation or bio deterioration, climate change, spoilage of food, disease causation and control, and biotechnology. Microbes can be put to work in several ways, due to their versatility like creating life-saving medicines, generating biofuels, cleaning up waste, and manufacturing or processing food and drink.
Role Desciption
Microbiologists plan and carry out trials, track environmental microorganism development, develop new medicines, and vaccines. They also collect samples and keep a record of all findings and write research papers about their findings. Also, they develop and plan strategies to prevent the spread of diseases.
