The medical professionals who are responsible for providing medical treatment to animals are called Veterinarians. For every category of animals the level of Veterinarians is different. While some work for wild animals, some for domestic animals or large farm animals and there are others who work for small animals. Though the education and training remains the same for all but later on they choose their streams. These professionals are responsible for diagnosing diseases in animals and providing adequate treatment to injured and sick animals. Also, these professionals guide the owners of the pets and livestock on caring about these animals. The Veterinarians are hired by government departments, private clinics, and pet hospitals while some others travel to farms and laboratories as freelance Veterans.

Veterinarians are responsible for diagnosing and medically treating animals. These professionals are well equipped to provide required medication and treatment to animals in form of medicines, first aid, surgery, and so on. These professionals also provide vaccinations to treat animals suffering from sickness and to keep animals away from any infections. Performing tests in the laboratories, spreading awareness on animal wellness, and conducting numerous researches and studies related to animals and their lives are some of the significant features of Veterinarians’ jobs. Also these professionals are can euthanize animals that are in critical health conditions.

  • 10+2 in Science with Biology stream
  • B.V.Sc for 5 years, including one year of internship
  • M.V.Sc for 2 year
  • Ph.D
