Their role is to determine the best way to pierce an oil or gas well, while keeping in mind a lot of things like budget, safety, efficiency, and environment security.

Once the well is pierced the Production Engineers take charge of the well to supervise the oil and gas production. In case of low oil and gas production Engineers look out for ways to increase it.

Using hydraulic fracturing, tubing and pressure –control methods these Engineers look after the successful completion of the work of the well.

It is their responsibility to find out how much oil and gas can be taken out from the underground surfaces and also to find out the methods to do this.

Manufacturing of goods like plastics, synthetic polymers, paper rubber etc., is the responsibility of the Chemical Engineers. Also they work in pharmaceutical manufacturing industries.
