Agribusiness Management is a specialized management program that emphasizes the business aspects of crop production, corporate agriculture and international trade. Agribusiness is the study of the production, processing and storage of agricultural products. Its main objective is to manage agricultural equipment and technology, natural resources, suppliers, labor and other resources. Agribusiness Management supports the agricultural industry by providing trained professionals and business leaders.

 

Role Desciption

 

An agribusiness manager is any other manager who oversees the entire business from planning to executing tasks and responsibilities necessary for the success of the business. The main difference is that agribusiness managers work on farms and other agribusinesses. Agribusiness managers analyze and develop marketing, hiring, and mentoring strategies for farm workers, and may also perform some agricultural tasks themselves. They are also responsible for planning where and how much to sell crops and livestock. Some of the responsibilities that may be listed are as follows:

• They manage the business of the farm by guiding and coordinating the production process.
• Responsible for packaging and sales

• Managers must have a good relationship with buyers and suppliers.
• They must supervise all processes such as planting and harvesting.
• The manager will also manage the company's account and make sure that they are making a profit.
• Provide reports to business owners.
• Agribusiness involves the financing, marketing and management of food production.

  • B. Sc Agriculture Science or related subject
  • MBA Agribusiness

  • English is mandatory in 10+2 in some colleges
  • 50 – 60% marks are mandatory in 10+2 including English
  • Must be 17 years of Age for admission to B. Sc
