A Banking professional keeps a constant eye on operational costs, and assesses the financial strengths and weaknesses of a company’s interests. Also they advise top executives in an organization on broad decisions. As Bankers are well-versed in legal requirements and current market trends, they give insight into expansion of an organization and acquire new assets. Reducing loss and damages is their major focus. Bank Managers review a lot of data and prepare reports to propose new strategies to leaders. Also they are responsible to hire and supervise employees, analyze financial records to improve budgeting or planning, approve expenditures, direct financial operations, establish interpersonal business relationships to facilitate work activities, monitor flow of cash or other resources and prepare reports related to compliance matters. They also prepare financial documents, reports, or budgets, maintain regulatory or compliance documentation, analyze forecasting data to improve business decisions, communicate organizational information to customers or other stakeholders. Also they are responsible for recommending organizational process or policy changes, negotiating sales or lease agreements for products or services and coordinate operational activities with external stakeholders.

Route to Banking Profession

Route 110 + 2 in any stream/Commerce
 Undergraduate studies in any course
 Entrance Exams to enter Banking Profession: Bank PO exam, SBI/RBI exam, or Certification in Investment Banking
Route 210 + 2 in any stream/Commerce
 Bachelor of Arts/ Commerce/ Economics/ Business Administration/Chartered Accountancy/ICWAI
 Master of Business Administration in Finance                     

 

Significant Statistics

  • Any graduate is eligible to take the Bank PO exam but for other courses 10+2 with math in commerce is a must.
  • Even though math is not needed for Bank PO Exam but being good with numbers makes an individual successful in banking sector.
