Eligibility



Educational Route to Become a Pathologist in India

  • 10+2 in science stream with PCB
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pathology
  • Super-Specialization (Optional): DM (Doctorate of Medicine) or Fellowship in subspecialties such as Hematopathology, Cytopathology, etc.
  • Register with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or respective State Medical Councils.
  • Gain experience through residency, fellowships, and working in hospitals or diagnostic labs.
