
Robotics
A branch of engineering that deals in making of robots which are programmed machines that are capable of carrying out tasks for better working of an organization is known as Robotics. The professionals working in this field are responsible to designing, building and programming physical robots, troubleshoot the issues related to operations and manufacturing and creating robots for industries like transportation, production, army, healthcare, etc. This engineering is the combination of mechanical and electrical engineering.
Role Desciption
Professionals in this field are responsible for performing engineering activities, plan and design tools, engines for creating or programming machines and robots, developing, coordinating and monitoring all aspects of production or operation. They also keep conducting extensive research in mechanical and robotic technologies for updating the robots as per the latest technologies and modifying computer controlled motions of automated machines. Other job duties include developing testing and evaluating designs of robots and installing or checking defects after assembly of robots.
Eligibility
- 10 + 2 with Science with Math stream
- B.Tech/B.E in Robotics/ Mechatronics Engineering/ Electrical/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- M.Tech in specialized branch of robotics /Mechatronics/ or any other specialized field

- Minimum 50% required in 10+2 for most colleges whereas some accept students with 60%
- Most colleges accept students who qualify JEE
- Robotics Engineering is a rare field of engineering that is taught in India hence Mechatronics is the most sought field for individuals wanting to pursue their career in robotics
