Deals with the study of soil deterioration and improvement of soil fertility and productivity

Deals with the study of inherent capacity of soil to supply nutrient elements and their availability, evolution of soil fertility status, use of fertilizer and other soil amendments.

Collects the soil sample and check the fertility, nutrient status and soil health properties like ph level of the soil. Reveals the suitability of soil for crop and also suggests the application of fertilizers.

It can be freelancing or working with a consultancy firm or a big agriculture corporate giving them technical advice about crop production, low cost of production with judicious use of fertilizers and environment sustainability.

One can join as Assistant soil conservation Office in ministry of Agriculture after appearing in an exam conducted by UPSC. Other jobs—IBPS SO/ SBI SO/ NABARD Grade A etc.
