The field of fashion technology revolves around designing and manufacturing of the clothes. Fashion Technologist is well-versed in handling different types of materials and fabrics as they differ in their delicacy and other intricacies. Fashion Technologists work on the development of garment or fibers, improve production efficiency and ensure quality of the end product. A Fashion Technologist needs to consistently coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders and vendors.
Role Desciption
Fashion Technologist develops and designs an idea by using Computer-Aided Design (CAD). They update the trends related to fabric, color, and shape. Also these professionals create original designs after studying the trends (market research) and buy textiles and fabrics necessary for the design. They identify the target market of design based on age, and gender, coordinate design activities; develop designs and plans for exhibitions, parties, events, and many others. They also draw detailed or technical illustrations and engage with others to develop unique ideas.
