Training individuals to stay fit and healthy or helping them to come out of a physical ailment is called fitness training. One who is involved in providing education with the help of physical activities is called a Fitness Trainer. These professionals are fitness freaks and demonstrate techniques, observe participants, and explain the right methods of improving health and well being.
Role Desciption
Fitness trainers lead the exercise groups at health clubs, exercise studios, and other facilities. These professionals are responsible for demonstrating the correct exercise form and the appropriate use of equipment. They instruct students on weight training and developing a flexible body. A fitness trainer needs to maintain equipment and keep records as well. They also work towards increasing the membership of a gym or a club they are associated with. These professionals also help experienced athletes to sharpen their skills, provide the knowledge related to skills and rules of particular sports and assist athletes in developing their potential. Also they advice about health style and issues, develop training programs and improve the performance and endurance of an athlete.
Eligibility
- 10 + 2 in any stream (participation in sports is preferred)
- P.E or B.P.Ed integrated course 1-3 years or 3-4 years/ Graduation in field of Human Anatomy
- Certificate courses in fitness/M.Ph.Ed. for 2 years
Significant Statistics
- Interest in sports is highly preferred
- Minimum 45%-55% is required in 10+2 for admission to colleges
- Minimum age limit for admission is 17 years
