Food Technology is the food processing industry which develops healthy, safe and convenient food products. Professionals working in this field are called Food Technologists. They deal with the techniques that are involved in the production, processing, quality management, labeling, and packaging of the food. Food Technologists research, develop and oversee the production of a wide range of food products. They also perform qualitative and quantitative tests to check the chemical and physical properties of the food products.

Food Technologists are responsible for planning the manufacturing of food and drink products, changing and improving existing plans, structuring procedures and hardware for the creation of recipes for an enormous scope, guaranteeing that severe cleanliness sanitation principles are met, recognizing and picking items from providers, checking the utilization of added substances, testing and looking at samples. They also help scientist to run tests, conduct research, as well as keep records.
