The retail management is all about handling sales and profitability, product innovation, and customer relationship. The professionals handling all the aspects of retail are called retail professionals and they usually work in the fields of marketing, finance, technology, loss prevention, merchandising, and management. The entire process of making the manufactured product available to the consumer is called retail management and it includes everything right from internal coordination, planning and logistics, to store operations, human resources, training, finance and administration, buying, marketing, logistics, and information technology.

Retail Professionals are responsible to stock goods and ensure products and services are available. They boost the reputation of the company, involve in selling of products to customers, work as a mediators between wholesalers and consumers. They are responsible for increasing the economy of the company, promote sustainable consumption and production, and assist companies in making organizational plans based on needs of future.

 

Eligibility

 

 

  • 10 + 2 in any Science
  • BBA/Bachelors in any discipline (at least 50%)
  • MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in retail management

 

Significant Statistics

 

  • Minimum 50% required in 10+2 including English as a subject
  • Graduates need to score 50% to pursue post graduation in retail management
  • For Master level course exams like CAT, MAT, etc., need to be qualified
  • Off-line or online certificate course in retail management is advantageous
